Bernard Purdie & MC Revolution
The MC Revolution is a musical collaboration between two well known artists, guitarist/producer Mark Kassa and bassist/arranger Christian Fabian. Their mission is aimed at honoring the greats of our time and they have come out of the gate with a bang! They tackled one of the most iconic songs of our time and teamed up with drumming legend Bernard Purdie, the most recorded drummer in history whose discography is woven into the fabric of history.
Produced with multi Grammy-winning producer Lonnie Park, this is a fresh take on the Motown classic “Superstition”. The track features Bernard alongside an impressive lineup who were all eager to honor him, including multi-Grammy winners like: Lonnie Park, Tony Lindsay (Santana), Kitt Wakeley, Delfeayo Marsalis, Ryan Shore, Ricky Kej, Alex Acuna (Weather Report), Anita Lerche, and Anibal Martinez, with Mark Kassa on guitar and Christian Fabian on bass.
More on the MC Revolution founding: Mark Kassa is a Detroit native and Musicians Institute graduate. He has worked with icons like George Clinton and Ted Nugent. Christian, a Berklee College of Music alumnus, and his credits include the Lionel Hampton Big Band, Lou Rawls, Chaka Khan and collaborations with many of the top jazz artists. It is their work with people who have shaped the musical landscape of our time that inspired their mission to honor them, a thank you for the soundtrack of our lives.
