It was an honor to have the legendary bassist Tony “T Money” Green step onstage with Slight Return at the Royal Oak Music Theater in MI. Tony played bass on the Slight Return song “Shake Your Detroit Right” from the “Welcome To The D” album which also features Rock & Roll Hall of Famer George Clinton from Parliament Funkadelic. Tony was the bass player and musical director for the Dramatics for over 20 years before he became the bassist for Death Row Records and played on tracks for Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, Tupac and Warren G. His most famous bass line can be heard on Snoop Dogg’s hit song “Gin and Juice”.
You can also hear Tony on the Slight Return songs “Vicious Tides” (album title track) featuring Andy Vargas from Santana and legendary drummer Dennis Chambers, and the jam “T Money’s Old School”.
